New Course: Seminar in Environmental Education The seminar is organized in collaboration with the Friends of Dahomey National Wildlife Refuge and the National Audubon Society’s Mississippi River Field Institute, and will draw on these organizations to offer a practical and experiential approach to teaching about the environment in high school classes. The course has just recently been added to the catalog, since pre-registration. If you have any students who want to be high school teachers, please encourage them to sign up for and attend this seminar. If they attend the whole course, including two field experiences, they can qualify to be certified as an Audubon Master Naturalist. Click here for basic information on the course, including a link to a tentative schedule. The first meeting is Thursday, Jan. 14 at 4:30 pm, in Caylor 105, and we will meet weekly thereafter at the same time. |
